Welcome to the Swiss Family Betor Blog!

I struggled a long time to figure out if I needed to do a blog about the "Swiss Family Betor" adventure, and finally decided yes, enough people are asking us for updates, stories, pictures and I can't keep up.  We are definately feeling the love across the Atlantic, and want to stay in touch with all of you.

I can't start this without a sincere thanks to my friend Heather Endre, who is fearlessly leading her own expat adventure in Taipei and staying in touch via blog.  I will never be as good at writing as she is, and I hesitate to write anything that my Mom can read, but here goes nothing...

Our adventure actually began more than 6 months ago with a "once in a lifetime" opportunity from IBM.  Move to Europe, choose your city, and IBM will foot the bill.  Sounds like a simple decision, huh?  The  decision has been anything but simple, but we took a huge leap of faith that God will provide, and everything else IBM will cover.

The last three months has been a whirlwind of preparation, with every spare moment filled with "to do" lists.  We have had an unbelieveable support by our friends and family who have helped us in numerous ways and made it very hard to leave.  I'll get in to more details about all the parties, roastings, cruise, pictures on another entry.

So, if you are interested in the Swiss Family Betor blog, read on!  If not, you don't have to worry about me littering your facebook inbox.  Love to all!
